Azenith's Family.

After we took pictures of the boys, D and I took pictures of our sisters' families. Our brother-in-law, Junjun, came home from Canada for the holidays. He comes home twice a year just so he could spend time with his family, not that they don't skype everyday. :D But it's heartwarming how much he would want to spend time with his family.

The twins, Eunie and Eugie, turned 16 yesterday. How time flies! They are good, smart, talented teenagers and I'm really happy how they turned out to be. They were good kids to begin with.

I remember, while they were growing up, they would rather watch mtv than cartoons. They loved music very much. So it wasn't really a surprise when they started a band. All three boys could play the guitar. Although in the process, Eugie decided being in a band wasn't for him.

This is Eugie, one of the twins. Although he could play the guitar, he found out he's too shy to be in the band. He would rather draw. And I tell you, he can draw so well. He goes to UP-Cebu for his art lessons during the summer.

The baby of the family, Aiana. She's a sweet girl with a lot of spunk. I love her childlike honesty and frankness. She's so smart and funny, too. She never fails to make me laugh.

They were all such a joy to photograph. I would love to do this again with them and maybe, make it some sort of tradition.

I wish this family more dreams and the fulfillment of all those dreams!

Clean As You Go.

There is nothing more meaningful than being part of young people's dreams. This is why we were very touched when our sister Azenith asked us to photograph Eunie's band.

I personally like the thought that these kids are using their time making music. They are all very passionate about it, practicing everyday. Eunie is writing songs. He has talent, I must say. Of course, the melody and lyrics are based on what is true in his life right now -- girls and falling in love. He is a very talented 15-year-old. Both he and his brother Mico plays the guitar so well.

And their bandmates are such good-natured kids. Their parents are so supportive of them and their band gigs. So heartwarming to see that they have people in their lives who believe in their dreams.

Last year, they recorded Eunie's original compositions and their parents must have spent a lot for it. But it's such an amazing thing, to have parents who support dreams of their children no matter what the cost. No matter if this dream will end in a recording company or not.

But wherever their dreams will take them, I hope they will continue to play music. It's a wonderful gift. And I am so proud how these boys are using their talents to the fullest.

I wish them more gigs, recognition for their talents, and realization of all their dreams.

Chasing more dreams,
Dionne

P.S. They said their band's name is Clean as You Go. I don't know if they were joking or not. But if it's true, then I think it's cool.

And oh,
Aiana joins them in some gigs. Yes, this girl can sing!
